Carol Fenn – Principal
Prior to co-founding SLI, Carol set in motion CTI Consultants Inc. with the purpose of enabling organizations, and the people within those organizations, to achieve their envisioned futures. As President of CTI, she has worked extensively in the areas of leadership development, organizational effectiveness and change management with many of Canada’s prominent corporations. Prior to founding CTI, Carol had an extensive career in executive Human Resource roles, including Vice President, People & Values for Maritz Canada Inc. and Vice President Training & Development for Omnibus Consulting. Earlier in her career Carol worked extensively in the Hospitality sector with Bass Hotels & Resorts and Delta Hotels. |

Joanne Shields – Principal
Prior to forming SLI, Joanne Shields was a founding partner with Results By Design Consultants Inc. for fourteen years. Joanne has been involved in many notable learning and development projects with clients among Canada’s Fortune 100 Companies. Some of her project work included dedicated client assignments, most recently as the Managing Director, Learning Systems at Maritz Canada Inc. Early in Joanne’s career she worked as a Senior Consultant with Wilson Learning Corporation and Apple Canada where she designed, developed and delivered learner–centric training interventions. |

Susan Thomson – Office Manager
Susan runs the company … the facilitators, consultants and partners simply do the work! Susan joined the SLI team in 2013. Susan’s responsibilities include assessment administration and deployment, project management, materials coordination, financial accounting and conducting other key tasks that maintain the smooth operation of the business. Susan loves what she does and thoroughly enjoys working with the SLI team. |

Rilla Clark (M. Sc.) – Coach
Rilla is delighted to be working in partnership with the STAR Team at Starfish Learning. She brings 25 years of training and experience in applied psychology and business to her executive coaching practice. Rilla is a highly skilled coach and process leader who has worked with a variety of organizations, moving people and teams to new levels of skill, understanding and mutual gain. In this regard, Rilla is particularly adept at developing People Q (how well we know and manage ourselves; read and understand others and our impact on them; and develop and lead people) and Learning Q (how deftly we adopt new behaviors and beliefs in response to the environment; adaptability; learning agility) skills within today’s high potential business leaders. Having worked extensively with clients in the financial services, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, consumer packaged goods, technology and insurance industries, Rilla remains an enthusiastic and energetic person who offers people and teams in transition, a change process that lasts. |

Sue Deacon – Facilitator
As proprietor of Learning Matters!, Sue is a ‘Trainers’ trainer’. Her career long focus and commitment has been to developing leading edge learning solutions that build capacity and create results. Sue has over 25 years of experience in training design, facilitation and coaching across a wide range of industries including High Tech, Financial Services, Insurance, Pharmaceutical, Automotive and Loyalty clients. Working with leaders from these sectors, she has enabled them to create realities that have been targeted and strategically aligned with both their corporate and personal goals. The breadth and depth of Sue’s training expertise is valued by clients who look to StarFish Learning Inc. for trainers who specialize in leadership development, sales and presentation effectiveness, team building, customer service skills or sharpening negotiating skills. Sue supports the process from start to finish and demonstrates that individuals have the means and the capacity to succeed when given the tools, confidence and support to do so. |

Sonal Sodha (BSc.Phm, MBA, PCC) – is an ICF certified coach and facilitator who leverages over 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She is known for her wild curiosity, playful energy, intuition, and ability to connect with people quickly. Sonal is passionate about helping individuals and teams become more effective and achieve their potential. She partners with clients to create clarity in their vision and develop the courage to take action in order to achieve their personal and professional goals. Areas of focus include: Executive coaching, leadership presence, effective communication, conflict resolution, confidence and managing self-limiting beliefs. Sonal is also a faculty member at CTI (Co-Active Training Institute, formerly known as the Coaches Training Institute) and trains new coaches across the globe. In her spare time, Sonal can be found playing guitar and singing at jazz jams in Toronto. |

Brian Giandomenico – Coach, Facilitator
Brian Giandomenico (H.BSc., Dipl. Adult Ed, ACC) is an ICF certified coach and has over 23 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Brian’s career has focused on sales, training, medical and sales management. He has over 12 years in senior leadership roles including small start-up biotech companies which have focussed on rare disease and oncology. Brian has coupled his extensive executive skills with his specialized certification to work with each client to build on their unique skill set and goals. Areas of focus include– executive coaching, leadership, team & career coaching. Brian believes in empowering his clients to reach higher. |

Glenn Johnson – Designer & Developer
Having been with StarFish Learning since its inception in 2003, Glenn works with SLI to design and develop custom learning and development initiatives that enable companies, and their people, to succeed! Specializing in the Sales and Marketing practice area, Glenn works extensively on client programs & special event-based projects that seek to build sales / marketing acumen and develop key selling/partnering skills for employees working within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, financial services and retail organizations. Prior to joining SLI, Glenn served as a People Manager and Process Improvement Leader for GE Capital, PPL Marketing Services and Maritz Canada Inc. In recent years, Glenn has also held term positions as Director, Learning Operations with HORN Training & Consulting and as Senior Manager, Enterprise Learning at TD Bank. |

Sandi Verrecchia (MBA, CMC, CPCC) – Designer, Facilitator, Coach
As a Certified Leadership Coach, Sandi is thrilled to be an Associate of the SLI team where she can share her passion for individual and team development. Prior to forming her coaching practice and joining SLI, Sandi spent over 20 years in the financial services industry focusing on consulting in the areas of team development, operations and sales and marketing. Sandi is also a Team Performance Coach with the Queen’s School of Business and an Instructor with the School of Business at Mohawk College. Sandi holds an MBA from Royal Roads University and is a Certified Management Consultant through the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. She is also member of the International Coaches Federation and is serves on the board as Treasurer of the Marketing Association for Credit Unions. |

Paul Shields – Facilitator and Coach
After 20+ years in retail leadership, coaching and training, with companies like Starbucks and Adidas, Paul Shields became a certified coach and launched his own company. Given Paul’s experience in leadership and training, knowledge of virtual platforms and strong facilitation skills, the addition of professional coaching, was a natural fit. Paul has a passion for new leaders and those looking to develop into leadership positions. Paul believes in the partnership of coaching and supporting talented people as they find the path that matters most. |

Kate Webster – (MA, I/O Psych, HSDP)
Kate is a consultant and facilitator with over 20 years of experience in the world of leadership, learning and organizational development. Kate is a connector of dots, a finder of patterns and a systems thinker. She is known for her ability to build relationships, encourage questions and help clients see their worlds from a different perspective. Kate has worked with clients across the spectrum of industries, from nuclear power & utilities, through pharma and healthcare devices, to policing and financial services. She loves untangling the most puzzling of organizational issues in order to find the solution that is both best fit for purpose and achievable by the client. Kate is an Associate of the Human Systems Dynamics Institute, a co-founder of the FabOD network and a long time coach and volunteer with Up & Running Guelph. |
